Cool, carts on dirt! Not sure if I have seen that. Welcome to Dgrin. #1 could use a tighter crop - how old do you suppose that kid is? Those are some little hands. #2 Maybe at that time of day if you would have went earlier in that corner you could have got some eyes? #3 tighter crop? #3 4 and 5 - maybe just a little faster shutter to freeze the helmets and hands and still get wheel and motion blur. I'm sure they are bouncing a lot. Nice series. Show some more of your work, lookin good.

You've got some dirt on your sensor. :(

The first shot is your best. Was that a driver trying to teach a younger kid by having him in his lap! :)

Number 2 you barely clipped part of the karts off the left edge of the frame. Next time watch the corners of your viewfinder more closely.

3, 4 and 5 do need to be sharper. Either a problem with a good pan, the shutter too slow, or as suggested the karts are bouncing a bit.

Oh, and its just "kart". Not "go-kart". :)

Thanks for the comments and tips. I should have taken it off of shutter and moved to manual. This was the first time shooting "karts" :D. They were all at 1/125 except #2 was at 1/160. Should have dropped down to f2.8 to f4 range and raised the shutter speed. Wasn't really thinking at the time, trying to keep my 5y/o rounded up. I used to race these for about 5 years but i have been out of it for about 8 or 9, and boy the technology really changes alot. I think the girl in the first pic is 4 or 5 years old.

Getting the eyes on these was nearly imposible 90% of them had dark shields on their helmets, you could only see a few eyes.
