Does Harry have something to do with this? I'm surprised there is not a "Funky Blue Bird" choice. :uhoh

I think for the most part, the only type of birds we have left around here are the ones that you can get for $4.99 at KFCrolleyes1.gif:Drolleyes1.gif

I just want to say that as Harry says he does not take part in challenges, KPOTDs, or most contests, I cannot, and I will not take part in a bird challenge.

I want everyone to know that I am not angry about anything there, it is not a payback or anything else.

I just cannot take part in a bird challenge. I just can't........

    ginger

Oh, I did a bird calendar, in addition to a landscape one. This is the bird calendar if you want to see some of my birds.......I had enough trouble choosing them.

I am waiting to get a proof back to order for Christmas, really try to sell it, or even offer to sell it.

I am sitting here thinking we should have a challenge of OUR CHILDREN.....

ginger (I understand why I would be unable to do this one and others would be all over it. Many people do not think of birds as if they were their children):D

I voted for birds as food.........

Now to carry that further, if OUR children were the subjects, I could easily vote for children as food..........clap.gifrolleyes1.gif

My camera is at Canon...............and may it stay there awhile.:lol4

If it should come back, I am sure that Harry will understand.

Is Harry doing a calendar, I meant to PM him. I did. I am not buying calendars, I just want to see everyone's. I have to say that. I am in enough trouble trying to get mine to the people who suddenly want one. I wish they also sold a mini. I would like to be able to give one to the shrimp people, etc.

Now I am thinking there should, could be a thread of everyone who is doing a calendar this year............at lulu. Or anywhere.

    ginger

    Cool move, though, Andy.

And I am just kidding about the camera. I really want it back now. It was delivered to Canon by UPS on the 9th, and it is not in their system yet. That is scary right there. Every day, every hour, I think, "oh, I want to go take a photo of this, will do today", then I remember.........

But I do know that Harry would understand re birds and challenges and me....

Thanks Sam. Nice of you to say.....but I can't help wonder if you don't get to see too many of these BIF shots. There are many in the "wildlife" section that are pretty fancy and put this one to shame. This...was obviously a joke. "Up Up and Away" rolleyes1.gif

I've cast my vote given the current list, but, I've got a thought for a future photo challenge. Not sure if it has been done before since I'm new, but how about "Architectural Elements"?
i.e. fences, gates, columns, stately mansions, landmarks, etc....you know, anything of man-made origin with architectural interest.

It could have been really bad: Bird In Flight..........

That would have narrowed things real fast.

Lots of birds in rush hour traffic, that ain't rushing. But then this is a PG site?

Odd - I didn't vote yet (and am logged in) but can see the results? Someone else voted for me?

Anyhow, looks like we might have a few entries like this?

So, I seem to be way behind the curve here. Does this mean that Harry is replacing Andy for this one challenge? Harry and the winner of 51 choose the finalists?

Andy, that might free you to compete. Think you will?
    If not now, when?
