Hi all,

Here is a picture from a trip I took over the spring and have just gotten around to editing. I tried a little something new with the framing...

Ahhh, this brings back memories. Great shot. I lived in Germany for 13 years (Military Brat) and spent much time in Switzerland, especially Lauterbrunnen and surrounding area. Please post more pics. Thanks for sharring.

wow - what an amazing place. Good shot. The toning is nice but I can't help thinking I'd like to see the color of the place.

    WOW

What a beautiful place. My curiosity makes me want to see more detail in the village, but that would only cause the sky and clouds to either be blown out or loose detail. It's perfect just like it is, but I too would like to see the color version of this photo.

    Thanks for sharing

    Thank you everyone...
Thank you for the nice comments everyone - I agree with you Owen, Switzerland is one of the most picturesque places in the world, just breathtaking scenery at every turn.
Eric, that is indeed a waterfall on the right of the frame - at the time of year this scene was captured, it was running with a great deal of force due to the melting snow.
Here is a color version of the Lauterbrunnen Valley (the Waterfall is seen cascading down the cliff on the center-right side of the frame):

I just cannot believe that this is real! My jaw is firmly embedded in my lap. Your processing gives it such an antique, timeless look, too.

I can't believe Brian pulled up a 4 year old post. How'd you find it Brian?

Glad you did, it's a great shot.

You're making me homesick! Great shots and I have to agree that Switzerland is stunning. There are passes as you enter the Berner Oberland that will never cease to be magical for me.
