Had another fun outing with the Usual Suspects! So fun in fact, it was well worth the insane traffic on my way home that rendered my jeep into a covered wagon for 2+ hourscouto.gif

Anywho, good shots and good (and reasonably civilized, I might add-- for a change. Must have been the mixed companyne_nau.gif) company are always welcome.

The feeding egrets were out in full force despite cheeto poisoningnono.gif (antidote=fresh fish)

My aim yesterday was to practice flight shots with the 400 and TC combo. This is tougher than I first thought and light/shutter speed is always an issue.

I've been trying to get cormorants in flight for some time now. They are pretty quick and have been few and far between at my other haunts. The Pond has 'em in spades, so I took the time to try and catch a few.

I like 'em ok, but still wouldn't mind if I could get them a tad sharper. Nothing some more practice and a bit more light won't help.

Had a great time shooting with the lads and hope to do it again real soon!

Generally I ev up on purpose for the all black birds to capture detail in black feathers. Unfortunately, at like 100mph I was unable to tell they were double breastedne_nau.gif Next time...

Excellent Jeff. They are hard to capture, and you did very well on a fast moving target. Your TC gets right in there.clap.gifclap.gifclap.gif

Thanks Mike! The Sea rodents have proved helpful in practising my flight shots (and soiling my caruhoh2.gif)!

It looks like you had a good time. You managed to get in a few excellent shots and you kept your sanity while hanging with that group.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
