Bubblegum Fly by Night...

This fly was sat on one of the strap-like leaves of one our flowering bulbs in a planter tonight in the garden. Even as I looked I could see what seemed to be a water droplet (it's been raining on and off this evening) but after taking the photo and looking, it turns out to be bubblegum blowing time again!

There was still some daylight left, but to dark for natural light, and certainly too breezy for long shutter speeds so a blip of flash was required.

Didn't come out too bad after a little bit judicious editing in the right places to disguise the ringflash!
