Thanks, rags. I was shooting at ISO 800 on a Nikon D70 so it's very grainy. Besides, a little sharpening seems to be my trademark. Hope that makes sense. :Dthumb.gif

Do you have one a little later, with the subjects full shadow in the frame?

Wonderful image, somewhat reminds me of W. Eugene Smith's "Walk to Paradise Garden." But I do agree with Ryan that it would be stronger if it included the entire shadow.

Thanks, Ryan. No, I don't. As I was waiting for that chance to capture his full shadow, a tricycle appeared at the bottom of the frame spoiling the shot for me. :cry

Thanks, bdcolen. W.Eugene Smith's shot is really very nice. I wish I would have the chance to encounter one such scene somewhere to photograph. thumb.gifD

Well, in the case of Eugene Smith he set up that shot with his children at home. Apparently it took a few tries before he got it just right. Not quite candid, but it sure looks that way. I may be mistaken, but I believe it was one of the first post-war images he took. Some biographers have mentioned that the image was part of his healing process. Who knows.

It'd be really nice if you have relatives or models that can work with your photographic vision. All my shots are candid and I have no control whatsoever on my subjects expression except some luck in pressing the shutter button at the appropriate moment and a little cropping to complement the composition.
