    They are quite common in the mountains above my home town...
    handled them lots of times....never wanted to eat one rolleyes1.gif

    We have something similar here in NY
    Look a lot like those.

    Call a Eastern Newt in their water stage and are med green with bright red spots.
    Called the Red Eft in their land stage and they are med red with brighter red spots.

    Al tho nothing poisonous about em....they are too cute to eat! :D

    Plan to get some pics of both stages this coming year.

    Let me guess...on a pizza with some pineapple to boot. rolleyes1.gif Not the most attractive critter..these newts. :uhoh Bet they'd make good fish bait.:D
