Hiding or Archiving Galeries

I would like to have galleries "Expire" after a certain number of days, then have the gallery disappear from the list. Many times I have an entire "SubCatagory" that needs to expire, such as a wedding with multiple galleries.

What's the easiest way of doing this short of deleting the entire galleries.

I tried "Privacy" and "Unlisted" from the Gallery Settings, but as I understand it, the gallery will still be accessible via a direct url.

Unlist, and put a password on them thumb.gif

I don't want them to see that the gallery is still there. Unlist and change the PW will just tell them that it's still there, and I just changed the PW.

I want it to appear as though it "Timed out" and will take effort on my part to bring it back.

Make the gallery unlisted and change the "Nicename" in the gallery settings to something like "archived-gallery name".

I don't think that will work since if you have the gallerykey and ID, it will still find it. ne_nau.gif

You can move the images to another gallery with the same name, and then delete the original gallery. This way, even if they have a link, it won't work since the original gallery is deleted. thumb.gif Then you can unlist this gallery and it will lay dormant until you want to make it public again. Mass moving images should be pretty painless. thumb.gif
