Dragon Flys

Caught these these dragon flys at the Dallas Arboretum last weekend. Comments/critiques please.

    Good set of images. I like em :D DOF does much for the background. These shot with a macro lens? Am unable to view the exif info.

    Image 3 is pretty different than standard fare I've seen. Seems there is a balancing act going on. Abdomen high... one set of wings up and the other low. I image it riding the black banister rail edge of the hand thrown glass piece. Assuming it is that. Also see a smile on its "face" as if its happy doing a trick. :D

    The upper left bright green is fortunate for the shot as I think it helps the images overall balance.

    Thanks for the comments. In #3 the dragon fly is on the edge of one of the Chihuly glass scuptures at the Dallas Arboretum. He does seem to be enjoying the his grip on the glass lily pad.

    I shot this with a EF70-200mm F2.8L IS II telephoto 1/320@5.6 w/ -2/3EV. It was my christmas toy and I love what I am learning to do with it.
