    Great shot! I was at the Embassy Suites in Phoenix/Scottsdale (on the golf course) and watching this from the 4th floor lamenting I didn't have my Canon gear. Glad you got the shot!

    Thanks. Yeah, I was watching the weather, and it didn't look like we were going to get any action. I went to sleep, woke up to thunder, and there was so much lighting, it was like shooting fish in a barrel. Stinks you didn't have your camera, that was a great show.

    Fantastic shot! Did you use a lightning trigger by chance?

    I have been trying for years to capture a lightning strike but have never been fortunate (or quick) enough. I've been reading about lightning triggers and they seem to take the guess work out of the equation.
