The great horned one
These were shot in the summer at the Valley zoo in Edmonton.I usualy dont do zoo's and this was my first and last time there,I would rather photograph birds in the wild. The waterfowl and hawks are all gone from my area but the good news is ive seen a great gray owl and a friend spotted a snowy owl last week:clap. It's time to go owl hunting,I enjoy shooting them because they let you get quite close and this year im armed with my bigma. Here are a couple of shots from my favorite birds...ice
These were taken with my trusty (but not very sharp) Sigma 28-300mm lens.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
I like seeing the handlers glove (the way it's composed)

Great shots!
Nice Ice.:D
but they made me give it back.
Ice, these are lovely shots for sure, but "not like yours" glad to read the first-and-last-time words. Look forward to your wild owl shots. (Also looking forward to the next Harry Potter release for the owls, but "that's different" - me, double standards, never).
