Local Musician -- C&C

Shot a local musician this afternoon. He didn't really have any concepts in mind so I played around with some different techniques and some new equipment. I'd love your thoughts :)

    #6 is my favorite. #2 is a bit blah compared to the others (partially because of his sleepy eyes), but these are all strong portraits and each could definitely serve a different purpose for his marketing/website/etc. Great work.

    These are pretty darn spectacular! You got your studio lighting down and then some!

    Great poses too!

    Although all are good, I like five and six the best.

    What kind of post did you do to 4?

    It's just a curves adjustment with some desaturation of the vibrance. I'm working on developing a style around that type of processing but still need some work to make the final clearer -- it looks a little hazy to me. I like the painterly feel it gets though from the processing. I'm thinking it would be better with a more interesting or lighter colored background.

    I saved it as a preset in Lightroom if you want it.

    Very tasteful work. In 6, I don't like how I can tell it's a strobe on the left, but other than that, that's a great image.
