Hey guys,
Quick question for those that have experience with the 5D2 and the new 5D3. Is the IQ of the MK III the same as the Mk II? Also have they updated the AF on the 5D3? I have the 5D2, but hoping to get info straight from users of the 5D3.

Thanks
R

I went 5D2 to 5D3. The IQ is basically the same except at higher ISO starting at about 1600, I see about a 1 stop advantage to the 5D3 when processing in Canon Digitial Photo Professional. In some cases 2 stops. The AF is remarkably improved. I'm glad I upgraded as I shoot sports and active kids as well as other stuff.

An "accurate" reproduction of a scene and a good photograph are often two different things.
