Hi Stan,
Keyword the heck out of your photos. Google will find you!

The fact that your site is not one of the first ones, has more to do with Google's ranking of your site. I don't know how to influence that.
When i googled this: "capecodphotoimagery" i got a hit to your site.
When I hear the earth will melt into the sun,
in two billion years,
all I can think is:
"Will that be on a Monday?"

Yup. Try googling this this: photography and glass sculpture
See what you get. See how it takes you to a keyword result page? I've already had a couple of sales based upon this. If you're not using keywords on all your photos, you are truly missing out.

When I've inquired about this before, it has basically seemed like keywords are of no benefit at all when you password protect the gallery. They won't be indexed or searched by smugmug, they won't be indexed or searched by Google and they can't even be used within your site by someone who has supplied the password credentials to that forum.
Since I shoot several large school events and have to password protect the photos, it bums me that I can't get any benefit from keywords because those are the very large galleries that could benefit the most from them. The last time i asked if we'd ever see full support in password protected galleries, I was given almost no chance that this would change (though I'd love to be proven wrong).
