I'm not saying it is, but it appears to be subjected
to some jiggery-pokery. Less pure than the driven snow.

The sign on the truck is just too, too black and distinctive to
be as captured. Subtle it ain't.

It's a good capture of complementary elements. That juxtaposition
of lady and signage is what we try for. But...

My Brit friends have a saying about not over-egging the cake.

    May be true.

The last version I tried for a coarse film grain (reduced black value intensity), I wasn't happy with that.

Additionally, I was more subject centric; a sports shooting convention. Here I included more context

Hmmm... too much sat, I'll look at that...

Thanks for the thoughtful comment Tony

The second version lessens the in-your-face effect of the truck's signage,
but I have difficulty telling "film grain" from "noise". One we add, and one
    we try to avoid.

I had no problem with the original composition as far as the area on the
left. Those signs don't help the image, but they didn't bother me. The re-work
takes those away, but adds things to the right.

Maybe it's time to leave well-enough alone.

    Well I couldn't... I like the capture.. mwink.gif

She's using an ancient method of carry that I have never seen in this country, a notable anomaly. Reminded me of a Koren vet story of how locals used to come to the camp and take away honey buckets to fertilize their fields.

The reconfiguration brings another dimension of contemporary urban restraints to the ancient method; walk, walk between the lines, no turns.

The Junk Lady title is probably inaccurate. She is engaged in theft of recyclables (according to a local law). Apparently the city offsets garbage costs by selling recyclables.

    Too cranial? yeah, I guess....
