Artist At Work - Senior

At a senior session last night my subject threw me a curve. She had brought along an easel and brushes etc. and asked if I could do something with her doing a painting. Thought it was a great idea and gave it a whirl.

I'm pretty happy with these for a spur of the moment thing, but I'm sure there are things that could have been done differently. Please feel free to let me know what that might be!

1.
(The 105mm that I bought for a macro lens on my DX body has turned into my favorite portrait lens on the FX body.)

2.
(REALLY love that "newspaper" pre-set you showed me Diva!)

And just a regular shot from the session that I kinda liked.

    Bryce,

You're at it again. #1 stopped me dead in my tracks. GORGEOUS!!!!thumb.gif

This concept is terrific. Really a different senior session. She's also a really pretty kid.

The only one I don't care for is the desat in # 4

TYVM Qarik. Might have to use a bit of blur tool on that eh?

    Thank you Alex...

Sure...I drew one up for you quick... This is exactly how number one was done. The others are variations of the same. Some without the reflector and some without the side kicker and minor movements of the shoot through.

#1 is gorgeous, the background looks like an abstract painting itself which goes along with the theme. not sure if that was intentional but i think its pretty cool

Didn't quite think about an abstract painting. I just shot it so the background would be extremely out of focus and underexposed by about a stop. Came out better than planned! Thanks
