But then it will take a nap.
Thanks to WhatSheSaw and MarkR for the motivation to re-visit these... so, a couple takes on the horses on the beach. The focus is a little soft on these but there's no chance of re-shoot.

    I have to thank MarkR for the title - I'm not sure I would have thought of that!

    Trish, this is Assateague Island National Seashore, in Maryland. Assateague spans both MD and VA, and there are two wild horse populations. The Virginia side the horses are actually owned by the fire department, and every year they round them up for health checks and to keep the population in check they auction off a percentage of the horses every year. There was a kids book that my sister loved called Misty of Chincoteague about the horses.

    We go camping there every summer.
