I like the composition on them and the color, but it looks like there's an area out of focus. On the posted shot, it's right above his right eye. Maybe a smudge on the lens?

Thanks, not really sure what you mean about a smuge.. I'm not seeing it. There was nothing on the lens... I had a pretty narrow DOF though but most of the look was the way I wanted it. Unless of course I have a smudge that I didn't catch... :-)

    I'm still looking...

    Thanks,

Well, I've looked at them and I see what you are talking about.. I can't believe I missed that. I just checked my lens and nothing is on it and I haven't used it since Saturday when I took these. I don't know what that could be. I wonder if something is wrong with my lense...

P.S. Don't tell anyone else as everyone loved these shots... :-)

Did you use some noise reduction software?

I don't believe so. I process a lot of shots and from time to time I will if I see too much fuzziness but I don't think I did on that shot. I am actually went back and looked at the original photos as there were about 4 or 5 in that series taken pretty closely together and they are all blurry in the same spot. I thought maybe it was due to movement but really just not sure...

    Dirty Glasses?
Maybe the smudge is on the eyeglasses, not your picture. Mine get plenty dirty sometimes.

I like your shots. The close crops work well. The composition of the one on the floor is really good, but it is a little overexposed for my taste.
