Canon DPP and metadata

In DPP if you press ctrl-I you get a view of meta data in a raw image, include IPTC metadata. However none of it can be edited from within DPP, at least not that I can see. It's the same for a jpg, look but can change.

The meta data in the raw image can be edited, for example exiftools has no problem with it. And if I do edit it with exiftool, then when DPP creates a .jpg, the metadata I added is there. Also DPP will display at least some of the meta data that is added to a raw file, so it can see it.

Soooo is there any way to edit the meta data directly with DPP?:scratch

Thanks

    Thanks David,

After a lot of poking I've come to that conclusion too15524779-Ti.gif

With a few scripts and other stuff integrate ExifTools to update the raw file exif with out to messing up my workflow too much.
