I need help with a banner. I'm not sure how to creat a banner in photoshop. Can someone help?

Hi Kay,

You want to build you banner for your smugmug site. SO, start thinking of some ideas of what you'd like to see in your banner. Some photos of yours, maybe, that would work? Your business name, etc..

Here are some ideas and you can get more by cruising the customization forum threads.

I'm moving this to the photoshop forum for the time being, you'll get lots of help there, I promise!

PS: Start thinking about size: Usually, 800pixels wide, by 125-150px high works great.

I took a look at the other thread Andy started. Looks to be some good starting points there.

I've never got around to putting one together, but I've always thought that a banner based on Scott Kelby's 'snapshot' trick might be cool. Or maybe a stack of slides on a lightbox.

If you want something more elaborate, Photoshop Cafe has some tutorials that can be applied to making banners. Also be sure to check out the gallery section of PS Cafe's forum. There are some amazing banners in there.
