Looking at it from a non wedding photographers perspective, I ask myself, why does the photographer want me looking at the drink in her hand rather than the expression on her face? The PP with selective color on the drink forces my eye there.
I agree with Bryce - I'm not a huge fan of selective coloring anyway, but I think it only works in certain instances. I'd love to see this in full color.
For some reason, and I may be in left field, the shoes being OOF really distract me here. I think it's because of they're proximity to center frame, but I think a deeper DOF might have served this image better all around.
I don't mind the shoes but the hand cut would bug me a little bit - I love the idea of the shot, though, and the off-center aspect of it. And yeah, full color is much better than the selective color!
Really not a selective color fan.. Actually hate the whole process. In color shot decent but the shoes aren't "pretty" on the bottom so I'd probably pass on that and crop in a bit. Thanks for sharing:)
imho, selective coloring is one of those things that scream "newb" in photography.. I am unable to understand why people fall into the mindset of selective coloring.. though, a few years ago, I was fascinated with it myself, for some reason. lol
cut off hand, lean and shoes are bothering me. if it were my shot, it wouldn't leave my bin after the PP.
