    This would have been a nice entry into the H2O Challenge. For me this image captures the struggle life has just to hang on at times. Life is a tough and rocky place to grow and without water and a bit more... The Wet we need, there would not be any us.

    I described the bobby pins being there as incidental since it was there in the first place as is. I like the ambiguity it adds to the scene so I did not alter anything and merely took the shot and composed it this way. Yeah, life is tough and that's how I feel lately.     The bobby pin being there is perfect. It is a part of the story the picture holds. For some it will have no meaning. An intrusion to be ignored for no meaning is found for its relevance to be there. For others a significance is sensed in its presence and combination with the rest of the story.

    Yes, I know what you mean in the way you feel. Take heart. Spring will come and the grass will grow by itself :D
    I will try to hold on to that today.

    My comment coming sort of out of left field, I guess- I think the stones and plant are much more visually attractive than the concrete.
