Can viewers vote for a photo in a gallery, so that I can find the favorite?

Hello all!

A client has posed a new question to me. One of my foci is head shots; a particular client asked if he could "crowdsource" the choosing of his new Twitter pic.

In other words, can he link people to my gallery, allow them to vote, and let me see those ratings somehow?

OR, can I view "popular" photos (the results of the thumbs up/thumbs down) for only one gallery?

Thank you!

    Hi,

Your client can share that with his Twitter friends. I notice that you have Easy Sharing enabled in the gallery settings. So this will allow viewers of that gallery the ability to share. http://help.smugmug.com/customer/portal/articles/93256

Now, there's no real way to separate the popular photos by gallery or anything like that. What might work better for you, would be to create an event. The folks can select their favorites, and you will be able to see the selected photos. This will be set up in your Account Settings > Making Money section. More help with Events can be found here: http://help.smugmug.com/customer/portal/articles/83125

If have any questions or problems, please let us know.

    All the best,

I too found this an issue. Creating an event is a solution, albeit an unelegant one. It would be a pretty simple piece of SQL to generate a report.
