Honeoye Campfire

Camping in the hills over looking Honeoye Lake, NY. Shooting fire is hard, never had much luck with it but I like the way the smoke leads into the clouds in this one.

Canon XSi, Sigma 10-20mm, 3 exposures blended.

    I think this is a great photo!! The fire first grabs my eyes, then I follow the smoke up where it is interacting very nice with the clouds. Nice!!

    I love the way the blues contrast with the warm fire. Was this a white balance choice or on auto?

    I love the way the blues contrast with the warm fire. Was this a white balance choice or on auto?

    I tweaked it slightly in RAW editing, but I think I was using a "cloudy" setting.
