Display ONLY a photo a day?

Is it possible to set-up a gallery that will only show a single photo a day within SM?
I am not referring to taking a photo a day and uploading it to a gallery. I want a gallery that will simply show a single photo a day (grabbed from a hidden, predetermined gallery).

If SM cannot do this directly, do you know of a script that can accomplish this task?

Or Plan C - can I easily get a list of URLs to photos within a gallery? I would use these to schedule a daily email to the photo a day.

Overall I want to be able to privately communicate with a couple people and show them a photo a day.
Well every person you can know,
And every place that you can go,
And any thing that you can show,
You know they're nouns.

The best ways I can see this being done are:

    1. Upload all of the photos you know you are going to display, and hide all photos in that gallery. When you are ready to begin displaying photos, just un-check the photo you would like to display, and the following day (time) you would like to show another photos, hide the one showing, and display the next one in line.

    2. Smart Galleries - This is certainly not the best idea for an approach, but you could tag these images with keywords like 'dailyphoto1', 'dailyphoto2', etc... and use Smart Galleries to display the images. Again, it would be you that would need to update this daily.

Thank you for the ideas. Still looking for a way to dump X photos into a directory and have them served up daily, automatically.

I'm not aware of a way to do that. If you have some programming knowledge, you might be able to do something like it with our API .
