Captured this image a couple of weeks ago during my first visit to Glacier National Park. C&C appreciated...

Gorgeous sunset, well captured. My only nit is that it appears tilted. I know the ground is sloped, but I think it still needs something square to anchor it. I would probably rotate the shot until the two trees close to each other in the center of the frame are vertical. Just my opinion of course.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll play around with the angle a bit to see if I can make it look more optically level. This whole hillside is subject to landslides, which is why there is so much loose timber and slanted trees in the foreground. The electronic level within the 5D3 said I was level, but optically the results can appear otherwise.

The sunset on this night was on fire, and I was frantically trying to find a roadside pullout with an accessible off-road area where I could setup the tripod without the road anywhere in sight. By the time I scrambled down the hillside through all the loose foliage, most of the clouds were no longer lit. Within moments after this frame, the color was gone completely. Then I discovered that there were about 15,000 mosquito out for fresh blood. :)

That's why I never use levels, they mess up your shot! rolleyes1.gif

Haha, yeah, I hear ya'. That was my first thought when I was setting up for the shot, but I didn't have much choice due to the timing involved... then i thought, "well, this is my foreground subject of interest".

ok, maybe i'm just fooling myself.
