A sole proprietor is a type of business entity (like an LLC or a corporation):

An individual is just a regular Joe :-) If you have set up your business as a sole proprietorship, you'll want to use that option. I can't really provide legal or tax advice as to which option is the correct one in your scenario, but an accountant should be able to tell you which option you'd need to use. The $10 fee mainly has to do with incorrect banking info, so you'll just want to double check and make sure the bank info you submit for direct deposit is correct (routing number and bank account number).

    Hope this helps!
