No Gallery Link In Thumbnail View

Hi All,

I'm new here and have a question. I have thoroughly googled with no luck.

I've switched to the "thumbnail" view gallery style because I'm getting reports that people viewing "smugmug" style galleries dont notice there are more than one pages!

But, when I go to "share - get a link" I only get a message that says "choose a photo".
Where is the screen that gives the option to grab a whole "gallery" link?

Click a photo and then you get the dialog box that allows you to get any other link as well.

I am by no means a novice but it took me 3 times before I "didn't" click the little "cancel" button before "selecting a photo".

For those of you reading this, the window that pops up says:

"Choose a photo"
"Click on the photo you would like to get a link for."
"- Cancel"

Now, I'm thinking "I really want a Gallery Link, not a Photo Link".
So I click the Cancel button.

Don't do that.
With the "Choose a photo" pop-up open...click a photo and you will see the normal "Links" screen.

Yep, with the gallery style you have in place, you have to select a photo first before you can access the get a link feature.
With our default SmugMug style which has the larger photo on the right, that extra step isn't needed since there's always one photo shown as the main photo and that's the one used in the photo links section of the 'get a link' feature.

If you're just looking for the gallery link, you could just copy that from your browser's address bar without having to use the share get a link feature.

I appreciate the follow-up Sebastian.

The reason I switched to the "Thumbnail" view from the "SmugMug" view was because my album viewers didn't notice the tiny "page 1 of X" arrows above the thumbnails area.

That might not say much about my viewers but I have to play to the common denominator:)

If I could show all thumbnails in the "SmugMug" view, I would change back in a heartbeat.
