We went to visit my wife's family this weekend up in San Ramon (Northern California). Marcus was turning 4 and their little 4 month old sister, Kendall, was being baptized. My wife, her sister and I took the kids to the park, while dad was getting things ready for the party. I brought my camera and speedlight along to see if I could coax them into some photos. These two guys will do anything not to be photographed so it's always quite a challenge.
1 - Marcus (left) and Devin (right). I tried to get them to sit still for a quick portrait. It sort of worked out. I happened to get this shot where they were both almost looking at the camera and one didn't have the other in a choke hold. Shot this with my SB-900 on a medium umbrella on camera left.
2 - The birthday boy. Shot with my wide angle with just ambient light. He was in shade and the sand was doing a nice job of reflecting the sub back up towards his face.
3 - Got kicked in the face grabbing this shot. SB-900 was on camera set on 0.7 -EV pointed forward left to bounce/feather. Spot metered on his face.
4 - Absolutely love this shot. I took this while running alongside him hold the camera low. Amazingly, I got this on the first try. Again, flash mounted on camera but no EV comp.
5 - Big brother Devin looking cool. Also with flash on camera at 0.7 -EV just to bring up the shadows on his face a bit.

the rest are awesome too but the kendall shot stopped me in my tracks.
. They are all strong photos, but 4 caught my eye immediately. Great shot.
