What Seamless colour?

Hi,

I am thinking I might buy some seamless paper from Colorama (via Jessops - I have some vouchers to spend). I was wondering what colour to buy?
I do white BG photos of kids and the like, so Arctic White might be the obvious choice, but there are other colours and it might be an idea to "ring the changes" and plump for something different - get away from what some people call the "Chav-ground". :)

What do you guys think? I only have funds for one roll at the moment (2.72m x 11m), otherwise I'd buy 2 or 3 and a roll support.

Cheers

in paper I would go Thunder Grey....it is light enuff to be burned to white and it wi=ould also allow you to add color gels to your BG lights and have multi-coloured BGs to offer or it would also lend it self quite well if you decide to go with digital BG's .....I really prefer muslin over paper ...they can be washed when dirty and reused... ... they can be quite the money saver and not that much more expensive than paper.

I have a muslin (although it's probably a very cheap one, to be honest). I struggle to keep the ripples of shadow from it - the light is just never even enough. I thought that paper would help in creating an even light on the BG...

Can't see Thunder Grey, but we have Storm Grey...maybe that's the same...

    Thanks for the input. :)

Go with grey or black and change the colour with gels + light power/position - cheap, effective, and infinitely versatile :)

That said, if you do tons of hi-key, white may be preferable as it will take less to light it to pure white. Alternatively, can you paint one wall pure white for HK, and then use seamless for other applications?

I do a lot of white BG at the moment, and it's ok, but I am wanting to "branch out" a little, but still retain the ability to go white. I must say that I am working towards grey now, as it won't be too tough to make white. But then it will take gelled lights easier to work with I believe, with less washed out colours for the gels used.

    Thanks
