Remote Triggers

I'm contemplating using a remote camera and need a trigger that will work within 100 yards, and must work for continuous shooting. I was looking into the Pocket Wizards, but understand they don't do rapid fire. I found the Vello unit, and was wondering if anyone could give insight, or other suggestions.

Pocketwizards will fire faster than your camera. Not sure who told you otherwise. What do you think the guys at the Olympics were using to fire their 14fps remote cameras?

But you can configure them to do continuous triggering. Use basic triggering, i.e. not ControlTL, or turn off the hot shoe communication (which disables TTL etc). When you do that you can do continuous remote triggering.
If only simple remote triggering is needed though, the Vello's are a more economic solution.

THANKS Dan. I had looked into the PocketWizards originally because of their added capabilities, but read that they couldn't do continuous shooting. I currently don't need flash triggering (but would like to have this in the future), only remote camera triggering, but I do need the ability of bursts. I may try the Vello first to see if my idea works. It's good to know that the PocketWizards would work if I eventually choose to go with them. THANKS again!
for over 5 yrs (the ones I use with my Konica Minolta set) and just over 3 yrs on my D300's.
