I just bought a set of Kenco extension tubes, and the quick test was all I could hope for. In fact here is a quick example.

Don't try and judge sharpness or anything this was a down and dirty test to see the magnifing power.

    All were taken with a 50mm 1.8

The first one is the closest I could focus with the 50mm.

This is the 50mm and the 36mm tube. What is really scary is I can put them all together and end up with 68mm extension tube! Of course I may end up with negitive focuse distance. :D

Hi there GraphyFotoz........ I am sure you will have an absolute ball with your new toy........I think there is not much difference in the Canon to the Kenko's, except the price ??? but do an excellent job.... and the Kenko's are AUTO.

Be sure and post some shots when you get it won't you :D

I've been using a Kenco extension tube on my Canon 200mm f/2.8. Some interesting shots to say the least. This gives me much greater working distance (and also cuts minimum focus distance down from the usual 10'-12' iirc)...than my 50mm compact macro. Didn't have much luck with attaching it to my macro. Might need to re-toy with it.

A couple with the 200mm and extension tube . Hand held (rather difficult to avoid blur) and a good distance away from the subject matter. (considering). The extension tubes come in handy. I don't use it much , though.

Does "I forget" do anything for ya :Drolleyes1.gif
I know I used a tripod, and a remote and I had the caterpillar inside the house, I think I may have used all three of the Kenko Tubes ??? plus the flash.
I was able to move the caterpillar on the angle I wanted it by using a set of "Helping Hands" (claw clips) on a stand.
I cut off a small branch with the caterpilla on it and placed it in the claws, then just kept turning it to where I got the best view.
Sorry Sam I can't remember if I had all three or just two on ne_nau.gif

    :dgrin Change "with" to "AM"!umph.gif
    DUHHH EF12 means 12mm......guess there was also a EF25 25mm made at some point?headscratch.gif

    This is on Andromeda's site:

    Description:
Two Extension tubes, in the same 12mm and 25mm lengths as previously available, have been redesigned to accommodate the EF-S mount lenses and its extended rear elements. They're perfectly compatible with all previous EF and TS-E lenses, and will work with any EOS film or Digital SLR. Note that exposure compensation is often required with cameras other than the EOS-1 Series.
