    Poignant... and nicely presented. thumb.gifthumbthumb.gifthumb

Now this is a found object shot worth posting. Very nice black and white and love the shallow dof.

That's exactly the feeling I got too. I didn't want to give the photo a title to see if others felt the same

Terrific image. Unlike PhotoDavid, I don't see this as a "found object." This isn't a found object; rather, it appears to be a photo of a target in an area where people have been shooting.

Really? this wouldn't be a found object? Do you know for a fact this is a targeted area or that this is not a found object? If I was walking along and saw this I would say, "look at this object I found!" Maybe I wouldn't be the first to find it but who says you were the first to find your little intergalactic planetary toy BD?

I doubt I was the first to see it David; being first isn't the point. I photograph what obviously are lost objects when I come upon them. This doesn't strike me as a "lost object." I see a hat, full of holes/tears, and a can, both on a stick shoved in the ground. That may not say target shooting to you, but it does to me. But it doesn't matter whether you agree with me or don't - take it to be whatever you want it to be. After all, it's a photograph, and is whatever you say it is.

I was not aware that the object had to be lost in the first place. I thought it was just an object found by the photographer. The image with the tv on its side with the sign "free tv" certainly was placed there and not lost but you didn't mention that on that particular post.
