    Uploader problem
The only uploader that I can use is the OLD Faithful uploader. Aperture loader worked on occasion.
Bot to be a grouch, but it's hard for me to understand why this is an ongoing problem with Smugmug.
I use an Imac with OSX Lion

In regards to your first question, could you elaborate on what do you wish to protect against? Also include a link to your site and the specific page you're referring to so we could take a look.

What Aperture plugin are you using? The plugins available are provided by third party developers. If you haven't done so yet, try the SmugInForAperture plugin as this one is updated regularly by the developer. If you have questions on it, you can contact the developer via the contact details on their homepage.

As an alternative, you could also export photos from Aperture to a folder on your computer and use our html5 (on current versions of Firefox, Chrome and Safari) uploader to upload your exported photos. There's no need to use the old faithful uploader unless you're on a work connection where the firewall or security software doesn't allow for any other uploaders.
If you keep having an issue, email us at the HelpDesk with details so we can assist you in troubleshooting.
