I just got through sending 86 image files to MPIX. I took about a 150 photos, and had to sort through multiple images of the same gun to get the best for processing. Then I had to convert all from RAW, levels, straighting, sharpen, crop to 8X10, ( some minor enhancement as needed) and insure the most accurate color rendition possible. While doing all this I had to make sure I didn't mix up the guns and serial numbers.
I found out that I can only look at the same type object (gun) over and over for a limited amout of time before taking a break. I was going cross eyed.
The post processing took longer that I had thought.
The important thing here is to develop a standard work flow, and be organized.
I have no idea how these wedding guys do this week in, and week out.
Now I can just sit back and hope the photos come out near to what I see on screen. Yes I have a calibrated monitor and I used an ICC profile from MPIX to soft proof the files.
