I accidentally found some of my copyrighted smugmug images on a google groups site that I don't belong to. How do I rectify this and how do I find out how they got there?
Thanks.

It's not possible to track how the images got there, and depending on how they were added there, it may not be possible to take them down.

If these images have been added using the Share > Get a Link method from your gallery, simply turning off External Links in your Gallery Settings would remove the images from the other site. But, if the photos have been added using screen shots, or any other type of screen capture, the only way they could be taken down would be you asking for them to be removed.

You can also make a 2nd copy of the photo and then delete the original rather then turning off external links.

What gallery did they come from? Share a link here. Also, show us the link in Google where the photos are - then we can assist better.

    Kevin,
Thanks. I turned off External link but thought since I had set Yes to Protected and No to Easy Sharing this wouldn't happen. I've just contacted Goggle to have the images removed but haven't yet heard back.
