I haven't had my macro gear out much lately, but was having a 'lazy' summer afternoon and decided to try it out again. This is some kind of very hairy caterpillar that was sunning itself on my deck.

All are handheld and, as you can see, I'm not very good at it. I've tried various techniques and methods of bracing myself with somewhat limited success. C&C and suggestions always appreciated.

Hairy caterpillars are actually quite difficult to photograph as you are often not sure what to focus on (the hairs or the body)
