working on "grungy look"

Haven't had alot of time to play with the lights here lately.
Trying to figure out how you guys make these shots work

    Hmm... I think the processing is pretty good. Lighting is not bad although I think you need some rim to add more depth to the shot.

    The poses, composition and the background is bugging me quite a bit. They just don't mesh with the processing. Quite static and boring yet the processing speaks to the opposite.

    Just my opinion.

    Hey first off
    I appreciate both you guys opinions as well as everyone else here!

    CJ showed up here with my daughter and friends, basically to raid the kitchen. I told him he was going to do this or didn't get to eat....deal.gif
    I had the lights setup for a still life, made a few changes quick and said stand here. Mini studio in basement with a 6' grungy looking (oh I'll be nice) male model....
    So sorry bout the background your right they don't work together!

    Thanks for the ok's on processing, this light pattern makes it much easier
