I have posted only the last one before, but I was not satisfied with how I worked it up. It is backlit, and I thought it should be left that way so the light could shine through the wings most effectively. I am satisfied now.

Really, really like how the light shines though the wings. Like how the light works with the bird period. Very pretty.

Ginger so many of your shots, seems to me anyway, almost have a..Hum right word, mystic, fantasy?? quality that is just so special. Very nice.

    Love the light
Love the light in all of them. Nice group of shots. I especially like the last one. You did a nice job with the light on the wings. clap.gifclap.gif

Thank you, Thusie and Snappy! I think I live in a magical place. When I see it, I hope to come close to "catching" it, then I have to hope to be able to show it so that it comes close to the reality.

The south is famous for its magic, isn't?

I was thinking while driving back from the dr loaded down with prescriptions for antiobiotics, for a sinus thing, I was thinking of the magic of the south, and also the contributions of editing. The south is a land of story tellers. I like to think I use pictures sometimes to tell my stories.

Smile, it is nice to escape into a world of beauty! I would love to photograph poverty, despair, etc, but I am afraid to. I am afraid to embarrass the people at the least, and at the most, I am afraid they might kill me. But it is a "dream" of mine.

Thank you both for stopping, looking and taking the time to comment.

Thank you, Ben. I see a dust spot on the first one. I think I will be the first to point that out.

I swear, they are like hangers, they multiply while we are sleeping.

I like the last one best, too. But I like the first two for their relationships to the last one. I love the water still streaming from the feet in the last one. I love the obvious strength that bird has to lift him/herself in the second one. The peace of the first one, and how that stillness in the bird is about to change into a burst to flight.

    Thanks for stopping and commenting.

    Oh boy!

I really like the third image, and how the lighting is flowing through the wings of the bird. I love shots of this sorts but they are hard to get just right because of the back lighting. I just wished that the water was not so bright as this really would have made the bird stand out much more.

We that said, I still consider this one a keeper.

    Good work.

Nice use of backlighting Ginger. The second one is the strongest shot.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
