I want to be found!!! Just checked with Google webmaster tools. My blog, and web site are found, however, Google gives me this message regarding my smugmug site [Been this way since Day 1 - just ignored it til now but I realize I need to be found]:

"Over the last 24 hours, Googlebot encountered 2 errors while attempting to access your robots.txt. To ensure that we didn't crawl any pages listed in that file, we postponed our crawl. Your site's overall robots.txt error rate is 100.0%.

Recommended actionIf the site error rate is 100%:
  • Using a web browser, attempt to access http://ricks-photography.smugmug.com//robots.txt. If you are able to access it from your browser, then your site may be configured to deny access to googlebot. Check the configuration of your firewall and site to ensure that you are not denying access to googlebot."
Your thoughts? my URL: http://ricks-photography.smugmug.com/

Checking on your account, I can see no issues with it and your robots.txt file is showing up fine for me.

It seems that you're quoting from an email. When did you receive that email? Did you receive the email more than once? If so on what dates?
What's displayed in your Google Webmasters? Does it display any errors right now? If so, can you take a screenshot of the whole screen.

I would suggest that you send your reply and the screenshot directly to our HelpDesk.

Maybe it's the double forward slash that's throwing goo off?

    http://ricks-photography.smugmug.com//robots.txt

    as opposed to:
    http://ricks-photography.smugmug.com/robots.txt

    Good luck.
    Anybody can do it.

I think that's just the way the emails from Google Webmasters are formatted. If you look at this on your Google Webmasters, they don't display the address with a double slash.
