With all of the fall leaves gone and winter not quite here in Minnesota I decided to take a stab at architectural photography. Here are a couple of shot of The Cathedral of Saint Paul.

Thank you for the comments. I've been wanting to shoot the church for some time but never made it there until last weekend. As you probably noticed it's on a hillside making for an unusual shot.

I like both...but the lighting on the second is more pleasing to my eye.

I wonder if correcting for lens distortion would do anything for these. ne_nau.gif Either PTLens or DxO can straighten out the towers so they aren't leaning in.

    No matter though....just a thought. :D

    Ric,

Thank you for the positive feedback.

I've been trying to figure out a way to correct the "leaning" of buildings in my shots. Could you shed some light on what a PTLens is or DxO means. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    PTLens: http://epaperpress.com/ptlens/

    DxO: http://www.dxo.com/en/photo/home/default.php

DxO is a more robust and IMO accurate program....but PTLens does a good job and is FREE!

    Ric,

Thank you for the suggestions. I looked into PTLens and will probably go that route once I pick up photoshop. Thanks for your help!!
