Have you found that the Helophilus hovers seem to have had an absolutely huge boost in numbers this year? Last year it was all about Marmalades and Syritta's. This year in our garden I'm seeing on average maybe 20 or 30 of the Helophilus hovers at a time on our potentilla, not to mention the ones that get caught up in the conservatory.
