Army Nurse holding the hand of an American Soldier. The lighting was really bad, and things were moving fast. I was lucky to catch the shot. It took a lot of post processing to save it.

Had a look through your website. Very inspiring. It looks like you've been involved with photography for quite some time, and it certainly shows in your work. I'd love to hear more about you.

Having you contribute to our forum would be a fairly major thing. I hope you'll stick around and teach us.
Please feel free to post any reworks you do of my images. Crop, skew, munge, edit, share.

I might add that your Rephotography series is amazing. I bet that took a great deal of effort to put together. Even a handful of shots seems like a lot of work, you've got 54 of them!

    Welcome aboard Harvey.

As Ryan said, your rephotography is an interesting approach and you do it well.

You might like to post some in the Other Cool Shots forum, since this is Documentary stuff

The posted shot is real strong. Did you try higher contrast and isolating the hands to increase impact?

    Good capture

Thank you for your kind words about my photos. In my Smug gallary "War Museum Photo" http://hstowe.smugmug.com/Photography/War-Museum-Photo/20980710_m2K7V8#!i=1667390249&k=cgnmkNL
there is a wider shot of the hands that shows a lot more of what was happining when I took the photo.
I got the inspiration and idea to do the Rephotography from a Russan photographer who does absolutely incredible work with contemporary and World War ll photos. Take a look at his site.
