Wow It's here and it's massive!

Does anyone think it may be a little OTT the P-2000 is big but do you feel the need for 80gb.

by the time you have filled it, it will need recharging, and if you can re-charge it you can access a lap top and maybe internet too.

Any thoughts?

As cameras become more memory hungry, an image will use more space on a card, hence larger and larger cards, 4gb but 80gb is huge for a shoot!????????

    80gb
80GB is almost nothing for video. Remember... it does video, not just photos. mwink.gif

For a shoot, you are probably correct, but what about when you are on the road for an extended period, say four to six weeks? That's when all that space can come in handy. It sure beats lugging a laptop around.

I have the P-2000 and shoot A LOT of motorcycle racing. I have found that I run out of battery before I run out of HDD. I don't plan on doing any 2 week long trips through the bush so a laptop in the car or in a hotel room is fine by me with the P2000 on me.
