This was taken at Maroon Bells on a trip to Colorado this May.
The hillside on the right side isn't doing much for me, IMHO it doesn't contribute much of focal interest, or as a frame.
I wonder if you've tried a square crop of the left 1/3 of the image?
The real interest in this image for me is the dark foliage against the lit mountains, I think you could highlight that more by cropping in and really putting the viewer 'in' the trees.

All the different groups of aspen were doing something different. Several stands above in leaf. I liked it.
