I'm totally clueless about....

....the particulars of this flower. For certain, though, it's a striking example of the wonders of nature.

    Thanks for the visit.

Man, I can't imagine what all might be seen when one jumps through the singularity.

Thanks, Rags. I've never seen a flower even remotely similar to this one.

    Tom,

This is indeed a clever attempt/reasoning to post another mamby pamby flower shot!

If anyone happens to be interested, the official name of the flower is Passiflora, but call it what you will. :D

That being said, you did a very nice job capturing the beauty of this flower. My wife and dad have these plants in their gardens. They come in several different color combinations.

They are not just nice to look at, many people use them medically.

Here is an excerpt from some of the benefits. I thought you might find something in this list that you might need a little bit of this flower juice to settle down ne_nau.gif :lol4

"...Passionflower is also used for seizures, hysteria, asthma, symptoms of menopause, attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), nervousness and excitability, palpitations, irregular heartbeat, high blood pressure, fibromyalgia, and pain relief."

Damned fine input here, Randy. But then, of course, I would have expected nothing less from someone who has such a proclivity for the flora side of things.

I must admit, I carefully scrutinized that list of potential medical benefits derived from this plant. The only one that had any degree of application to me was the one dealing with symptoms of menopause. I'll have to suck some of that stuff down. Can I mix it with my grog?
