Feeling particularly uninspired lately... but I saw this the other day and made myself get up early to shoot this AM... I want to also shoot in late afternoon, but that will have to be tomorrow.... hope to get out and enjoy some shooting soon, thou....my camera is lonely I think....

I appreciate your thoughts (I removed the water bottle already...any other improvements?

Like the idea, be interested to see the afternoon shot with the sun on the gate, hopefully will still have sun on the red roofed house. Would it be possible to take the shot so the line follows the open gate down the path, while still keeping the house in the picture? Just feel as taken looking at a closed gate.

Hmmm...dunno.... I drove by at around 1 yesterday on the way to work and the sun was reflecting off the roof so strongly it looked white... I get out of work today at 530 so I will give it another shot or two... its 'private' property though, so I can only go so far (not to mention then there would be this big no tresspassing sign....will have to play...

Of course the sun has refused to shine during the late afternoon since I decided to shoot this location, and I am at work tonight till 930, tomorrow till after dark... I used the flash to provide a bit of pop to the fence in the foreground, it's the best lighting I am going to get for this location (by the time the sun comes back the flowers will no doubt be gone...
So, which of these two? My head hears SCAPE and thinks wide angle, panoramic....but then I lose the sky and those trees...

I like the first. I think sky and trees outweigh the panoramic (which I also like). I also like the road leading in from the bottom left.
