Very nice, well done. I'm curious how you lit the shaded side of the tree? A reflector or fill flash, or in post?

3 images -2, 2 , +2, blended in Photomatix, additional Photoshop. I usually try to keep the hdr on the down-lo (not always successful, lol). This would be a difficult image without hdr due to the contrast. I love this tree and go visit when I can.

Looks great. Some places/trees become friends like that.
    Anybody can do it.

Very nice pic and good use of HDR. I like it when they look natural like this one.

Well, I couldn't tell that it was tonemapping, so it was well done. I'm not against HDR per say, and I think if you have a tripod, multiple images are the way to go, even a simple digital mask between two images can produce a much better image these days than a GND filter, IMHO, because you have much more flexibility, even if you are using a rectangular filter and filter holder instead of a screw on filter.

Nicely done, you could have told me it was fill flash, or a giant reflector and I'd have believed you.

Thanks all for your comments. The shaded side of the tree may be a tad too bright, but the details within the tree are amazing. The post-processing today is simply a dream to learn.
