Hi,

I am currently beginning my new business (clothing accessories and scarves) and would like to get some advice regarding to what camera to buy and any suggestions. I currently bought a black female torso mannequin and tried taking pictures with my Sony Cybershot digital camera (12mp) but all the pictures were blurry even after placing it on a tripod. I was considering buying a DSLR camera but I needed some advice on how to choose the right one and what type of lens would I have to buy. Some people tell me to buy a Canon Rebel while others tell me to buy a Nikon. Any suggestions? Thanks.

For product type shoots..just about any SLR (canon or nikon) will do with just the kit lens. The larger issue here is that to get good shots you will have to invest some time and energy to learn how to use the camera and setup the lighting to achieve good results. It may take months of practive and trial and error before you get results that you really like. Please keep this in mind.
