Not really qualified to make a report or reach a conclusion on DxO Labs new software, I thought I'd share my first experience with you nature lovers. :D

The original file would be too embarrassing to show....so here is my normal edit routine with Corel PhotoPaint and iCorrect Edit Lab plugin:

Now, here is an edit with Dxo:

Blown highlights gone and a more natural look with the sharpening IMO.

I strongly suggest you all take a look at this new software from DxO! :thumb

These were both done using a high quality jpeg as the original.

Harry...I know this post belongs elsewhere....just thought I'd give you guys the first crack at it. :D

    Hi Ric,

Is the second shot a modification of the first?

I actually like the first shot better, its a little sharper, but a little flat. The second shot is too soft for my taste.

Both were edited using the original jpeg from my 20D. I could easily have sharpened the 2nd shot...but...my ill stated point was to get you to check out the software. This sharpening is a lens specific routine provided in the DxO software.:D This was a lousy original shot that DxO fixed up with very little input from me. (something my lazy a$$ loves) clap.gif
